Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required and three years of experience with career development, workforce development, counseling, human resource development, or other relevant career development responsibilities.

Position Description
Duties include but are not limited to:
Initiate, build, and maintain partnerships with business and industry to develop and implement pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs.
Collaborate with deans, directors, department chairs, etc. from Curriculum Programs and Corporate and Continuing Education to identify appropriate career pathways and develop related instruction plans that align to business and industry needs.
Ensure all pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs comply with College and ApprenticeshipNC expectations and regulations.
Maintain accurate records for enrollment, tracking, and reporting purposes.
Conduct employer site visits to monitor activity and ensure apprentices are receiving appropriate on-the-job training and work experiences to fulfill the apprenticeship contract.
Provide intervention, advising, resources, and strategies for apprentices to ensure academic program, student, and business partner success.
Participate in College and community events and functions to develop, educate, and recruit employer partners and prospective apprentices.
Work with Career Coaches, Cumberland County Schools’ Career Pathways Coordinator, and high school counselors to promote and recruit students for pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship career pathways in local high schools.
Create and coordinate with the Executive Director for Marketing and Public Relations regarding strategic marketing, promotion, and recruiting materials and events that inform and stimulates growth.
Prepare paperwork for and coordinate with the Office of Business and Finance regarding invoices, expenditures, and distribution of any grant funds for apprentices and apprenticeship programs.
Build relationships with workforce, economic development, and community organizations to identify external sources of support and funding for programs.
Perform related duties as assigned.
