2. Must have a minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent experience managing volunteers or working in a volunteer or non-profit organization or other College experience;
3. Experience in recruitment and/or placement of employees or volunteers

1. Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree;
2. Volunteer coordination experience in higher education;
3. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Job Description Summary
Responsible for coordinating College-wide volunteer services to include assessment of departmental needs, recruitment, screening, placement, monitoring results, and retention of individuals who wish to volunteer time in support of A-B Tech.
Provides administrative support to the Office of the President and VP, Business & Finance/CFO, including serving as a backup and ongoing support to the President’s Executive Assistant. Duties
Volunteer Coordinator
· Collaborates with College departments to assess volunteer opportunities that are mutually beneficial.
· Develops a comprehensive policy and procedure manual related to volunteer positions for the purpose of conveying general
and specific information related to the role of a volunteer.
· Creates and maintains position descriptions to serve as a guide for each assignment and provides training.
· Hosts and attends recruiting events within the community to attract qualified and interested candidates for volunteer roles,
and develops relationships with other volunteers, educational and non-profit organizations in the area.
· Actively recruits volunteers to commit to short-term, and long-term projects and activities.
· Collaborates with Community Relations and Marketing department to publicize opportunities for volunteers.
· Prepares and conducts orientation sessions designed to educate and familiarize individuals with the history, vision, mission, and values of the institution (Orientation to the Volunteer Program and relevant policies & procedures)
· Serves as a point of contact related to assignments and communications with departments and works toward positive
resolutions to resolve volunteer conflicts and differences.
· Maintains contact with College departments to monitor progress, facilitate new needs, process new volunteers, and
coordinate assignments.
· Tracks volunteer utilization and hours for the purpose of providing statistical and activity reports on a monthly basis.
· Evaluates all aspects of the volunteer program to ensure effectiveness and to recommend or implement changes as appropriate.
· Solicits collects, maintains, and reports on feedback from all parties involved for the purpose of promoting continuous
improvement.
· Coordinates the A-B Tech Therapy Dog Program and provides direct supervision for the program.
· Maintains Volunteer Services sites on SharePoint and College website.
Business & Finance:
· Performs routine and typical office functions utilizing Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; files copies and scans and faxes documents.
· Provides customer service and/or student advocacy as demonstrated through a positive attitude, strong problem solving, and a desire to identify and support student success.
· Welcomes visitors, employees, and students when they enter the office.
· Coordinates new employee meetings with the President and VP, Business & Finance.
· Response to incoming telephone calls takes accurate messages and responds appropriately to support requests.
· Maintains CFO calendar and meetings and making travel arrangements
· Accurately prepares to leave reports/requests each month for employees reporting to the VP, Business & Finance/CFO, processes B-19s and timesheets for the Business Office, Plant Operations, and Facilities Support.
· Handles P-Card transactions and mail for the VP, Business & Finance/CFO.
· Serves as backup and provides ongoing support to the Executive Administrative Assistant to the President.
· Maintains professional standards, attitude, and performance. · Maintains confidentiality of the office.
· Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
· Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Ongoing Duties:
· Coordinates Campus Food Trucks for AHWD area.
· Serves as secretary to the Joint Financial Advisory Committee of the Board of Trustees.
· Prepares and tracks Purchase Order and Check Requests for the CFO.
· Attends weekly CFO Direct Reports meeting and provides administrative support to the group as needed.
· Reviews and prepares College-wide B-19s for CFO approval.
· Produces monthly Business and Finance divisional newsletter, helping to develop stories, profiles, and other content featuring the work of the division.
· Coordinates emergency PPE requests and distribution for the College in the event of a Pandemic.
