OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The CTL Coordinator provides technical and administrative knowledge and expertise required to support faculty and staff in the delivery of distance learning and professional development courses and programs. This position serves as primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external constituents related to distance learning and professional development programs. This position actively participates in the planning and coordination of projects, activities and initiatives undertaken by the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in program planning and facilitating meetings for Community of Online reDesigners (CORD) and Hybrid and Online Teacher (HOTT) training
- Serves as a certified QM Peer Reviewer for the CORD program
- Organizes and facilitates sessions on teaching and learning strategies, distance learning, Quality Matters, Moodle and Accessibility
- Contributes to planning and coordination of continuous improvement opportunities for the Center for Teaching and Learning
- Responds as appropriate to requests for assistance and technical support related to issues with Moodle and other open-source learning platforms and technology
- Provides general administrative support including preparation of professional learning opportunities internally and externally
- Performs Moodle maintenance activities each semester including reviewing Moodle logs for errors, updating site administrators and managers lists
- Sends updated course and program templates to the VLC each semester
- Participates in appropriate committees and task forces as assigned
- Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned in support of the College’s mission, core values and goals
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Information Technology or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
Three (3) years’ experience in an education environment and online teaching experience.

Preferred:
Experience in Moodle and other open-source learning platforms and technologies.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of computer assisted learning models
- Knowledge of learning management systems such as Moodle/Blackboard
- Knowledge of College policies and procedures related to distance education
- Knowledge of customer service principles
