Minimum Qualifications

1. Associates Degree or higher in Computer-Integrated Machining or equivalent required.

2. Minimum of 3 years of industrial manual and CNC machining experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Teaching experience preferred.

2. Industry recognized credentials such as NIMS preferred.

Position Description

The coordinator’s primary purpose is the teaching, planning and operational aspects of the program. Under the direction of the Department Head, Engineering, the coordinator will provide leadership for the Computer Integrated Machining Technology Program. This coordinator will teach many, if not all, of the core (program specific) courses in the program and will develop and maintain the program of study, individual courses and related laboratories, software, equipment, supplies and safety. Courses to instruct include: Print Reading, Machining Technology I, II, III, and IV, CNC, Metrology, Machining Calculations, CAM, Production Tooling, Jigs and Fixtures, Metallurgy, and others.

The Coordinator is directly supervised by the Division Dean and Department Head; however, it is the coordinator who has the initial responsibility to ensure the viability, currency and integrity of the program. This is a teaching position which may carry a full teaching load in addition to other program and College related responsibilities.
