Minimum Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field

Three years' work experience in the collegiate and/or healthcare field
 

Preferred Qualifications

Preferences:

Two years secretarial and/or clerical experience

Two years working with the online environment of Blackboard or Moodle
 

Position Description

This position is responsible for coordination of classes and the coordination of adjunct faculty for classes including part time employee contracts and required paperwork for the Health Science Non-Degree Programs. 

Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

* Actively involved in promoting non-degree program enrollment growth. Activities include developing measurable outcomes based on the collection and analysis of departmental data to include but not limited to enrollment trends, student surveys, success rates, completion rates, retention rates, FTE

* Maintaining catalog, website, and brochure accurately and promoting courses offered by the department

* Plans and coordinates CCP curriculum and continuing education courses, including requesting and amending sections

* Assists in recruitment of course instructors

* Coordinates class schedules, room assignments, and scheduling of course instructors

* Prepares contracts, contract changes, and monthly payroll documents for employees

* Coordinates with clinical sites for student clinical rotations through Rotation Manager and emails

* Verifies that all agency credentialing requirements for Health Science Non-Degree program faculty are met

Assists with orientation and registration of students
 
Assists the Department Head in efforts to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate for continued support of the Non-degree Health Science Programs

Coordinates scheduling of certification exams for students after completion of specific health programs

Reviews and ensures that class records are completed correctly and submitted on time

Assists the Department Head with creation and development of new non-degree courses

Updates and maintains classroom and laboratory rooms assignments for all designated spaces

Assists with collection and analysis of departmental IE assessment data

Maintains communication and provides technical support to course instructors

Remains current on certification requirements and costs

Serves on college or department committees as needed

Attends professional development opportunities when possible

Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with medical community, organizations and the general
public

Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with others

Able to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently

Good organizational skills

Knowledge of and facility with technology and software including, computers, and web-based resources

Demonstrated proficiency and skill in Microsoft Office products, file management, and skilled teaching area

Able to perform normal duties with minimal supervision

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum
potential

Able to utilize online teaching tools including Moodle and Blackboard

Understanding of community college operations

Proficient with Colleague/Datatel student information system

Excellent time and personnel management skills

Detail oriented and able to work with high degree of accuracy
