Position Description

 The Coordinator, International Education is a part-time position that works collaboratively with students, faculty and staff to champion campus globalization.  This position plays a key role in developing global citizens, building cultural competence, and internationalizing the campus.  The Coordinator reports directly to the Director, International Education.

 Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Coordinator of the Scholars of Global Distinction program including student recruitment and support, event planning, tracking completion of students, and chairing of Global Scholars subcommittee
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate international events and activities in support of globalizing the campus
  • Coordinate support of International students and scholars with acclimating to new a environment and culture, including but not limited to banking, shopping, medical, post office
  • Organize the securing and furnishing of international student housing
  • Coordinate domestic and international student engagement in international clubs, international events, and campus life
  • Promote International Education events and activities through social media and other channels of communication
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, students and external stakeholders as needed to champion global learning initiatives and student success
  • Participate in workshops, conferences or other professional learning opportunities
  • Assist the Director in data collection, assessment and continuous improvement of the International Education program
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, and serve on college committees as appropriate
  • Perform other tasks as assigned that support the mission and initiatives of the College
