Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationship with medical community, organizations and the general public

Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Ability to exhibit good interpersonal skills and work well with others

Able to maintain records accurately and be able to meet deadlines consistently

Good organizational skills

Knowledge of and facility with technology and software including, computers, and web-based resources

Demonstrated proficiency and skill in Microsoft Office products, file management, and skilled teaching area

Able to perform normal duties with minimal supervision

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Demonstrates resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and a sincere interest in helping students reach their maximum potential

Maintains appropriate certifications in area or field of instruction

Able to utilize online teaching tools including Moodle and Blackboard


Bachelor's degree 

Three years' work experience in the collegiate and/or healthcare field

Preferred Qualifications


Two years of supervisory experience

Two years working with the online environment of Blackboard or Moodle

Position Description

This position is responsible for coordination of classes and the coordination of adjunct faculty for classes including part time employee contracts, and required paperwork for the Workforce Allied Health Department.


 Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary job functions herein described.

*Recruits, hires, supervises and mentors part-time instructors at assigned locations

*Coordinates class schedules, room assignments, and scheduling of part-time instructors

*Prepares contracts, contract changes, and monthly payroll documents for employees

*Evaluates instructors by visiting classes, reviewing lesson plans, observing classes, and reviewing student evaluations

Coordinates scheduling of certification exams for students after completion of specific health programs

Reviews and ensures that class records are completed correctly and submitted on time

Serves on college or department committees as needed

Attends professional development opportunities when possible

Assists with establishing goals and objectives for the course and selecting text or other classroom materials

Maintains communication with course committee instructors; creates and develops new allied health programs; and participates in efforts to keep courses up-to-date and appropriate for continued support of the Workforce Allied Health Department 

Works closely with the Department Head/Director of Workforce Allied Health to ensure regular and timely communication within the department

Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or a group basis
