Position Description
SUMMARY:

The Coordinator of Workforce and Corporate Training is a full-time, 12-month position that is responsible for working with businesses to meet their training needs for employees and potential employees in Davidson County. The position also works with the Customized Training Program (CTP). The position reports to the Director of Workforce and Corporate Training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researches new program offerings and identifies employer needs in the DCCC service area
- Develops and implements Occupational Extension (OE) courses and programs tailored to meet the training and employee development needs of companies
- Identifies feasible occupational extension course offerings, sets up courses, selects textbooks, facilitates development of course syllabi, and evaluates course and instruction
- Assists the Director of Workforce and Corporate Training in supporting CTP projects for local industries
- Works with the director to meet the needs of the business community
- Coordinates HRD classes to offer for Goodwill, Davidson Works and the community
- Facilitates processes to ensure that all policies and procedures for internal and external auditing plans are met
- Hires and orients instructors
- Assists in the development of marketing materials and in marketing programs to the community
- Promotes instructional approaches to foster student learning and effective teaching
- Develops and maintains relationships with companies, businesses, and state and county agencies
- Orders and maintains supplies needed for courses
- Participates with other CE coordinators and directors in program planning
- Maintains currency with local, state and federal guidelines
- Participates in College and School meetings
- Works some evenings and weekends as the job requires
- Performs other duties that support the mission, vision, values and initiatives of the College
