Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in education, business administration, or other related field. 
  • Two years of experience partnering/working with a school system, community college, or university.
  • Two years of work experience related to business, industry, or labor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in education, business administration, or other related field.
  • Experience working in the community college system.
  • Experience with apprenticeships.
  • Project Management experience.

Position Description

The Corporate Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the Corporate Education and Economic Development department, supporting local employers involved in apprenticeships, Customized Training Projects, and seeking short-term training solutions for their employees. This multifaceted position entails extensive outreach efforts, requiring the Corporate Education Coordinator to actively engage in local employer events for networking opportunities and program presentations. Furthermore, the Corporate Education Coordinator assumes responsibility for advertising classes and developing comprehensive program strategies from inception to execution. Strong emphasis is placed on possessing exceptional customer service skills and effective communication abilities, as these qualities are integral to achieving success in this dynamic role.

 

Example of Duties

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Day-to-day communication with employer partners participating in apprenticeships or Customized Training Projects.
  • Regular communication with Regional Director of Customized Training and ApprenticeshipNC.
  • Support apprenticeship employers in recruitment, application process, and onboarding of new apprentices. 
  • Support current apprenticeship programs at Alamance Community College.
  • Assist in the recruitment and retention efforts for Customized Training Projects and Corporate Education classes.
  • Market corporate education classes to local businesses.
  • Assist in record maintenance.
  • Review, evaluate, and assess the Customized Training Projects periodically.
  • Build projects for new companies that meet Customized Training guidelines.
  • Manage funds for Customized Training Projects and apprenticeship grants.
  • Submit quarterly and annual reports to North Carolina Community College System Office.
  • Support the Corporate Education team in organizing events.
