Minimum Qualifications
· Associate degree OR full-time equivalent of two years’ administrative or related experience
· Ability to work with and maintain confidential data
· Strong written and verbal communication skills including active listening
· Strong attention to detail and documentation and data management
· Proficiency with MS Office and Excel
· Strong time management skills (organization, prioritization, multitasking)
· Ability to interact in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner with culturally diverse populations and people experiencing a wide range of social conditions
· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
Preferred Qualifications
· Associate degree in Human Services or related field
· Administrative or related experience, minimum of one year full-time
· Customer service experience, minimum of one year full-time
· Experience in collecting and maintaining data
· Experience conducting telephone-based or in-person interview, data collection and data entry
· Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred)

Job Description
The COVID-19 Case Investigator and Contact Tracing Assistant is a full-time, grant-funded position located in Anson and/or Union County. Under the direction of the Director of Student Advocacy and Accountability/Title IX Coordinator and the Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Payroll/Deputy Title IX Coordinator, the COVID-19 Case Investigator and Contact Tracing Assistant will conduct COVID-19 case investigation and contact tracing for students, faculty, and staff. The Assistant will be responsible for reaching out to individuals who are suspected of having or been diagnosed and/or exposed to COVID-19. The Assistant will tactfully and confidentially gather information to assist their direct supervisors with making determinations for quarantine and/or potential exposure notices. This position will require prioritization, prompt action, and attention to detail in documentation and data management as multiple investigations will be conducted simultaneously.
Job Duties
· Maintain a collaborative relationship between two distinct divisions within the college
· Initiate prompt communication with students, faculty and staff diagnosed with and/or exposed to COVID-19 (contacts) through phone calls, email, and other communication platforms as necessary
· Employ dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, cultural competency/ sensitivity, tactful language, and empathetic interviewing skills to build rapport and maintain trust with individuals of varied backgrounds
· Follow all designated scripts and comply with college protocols regarding confidentiality and data security for the handling of sensitive information
· Quarantine/Isolation support which includes regular phone and email communication with students, faculty, and staff
· Contact tracing support which includes regular phone and email communication with students, faculty, and staff
· Identify areas which may need sanitizing based on contact tracing results and communicate to the appropriate staff
· Maintain documentation of all COVID cases and complete reporting requirements according to college protocols
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Advocacy and Accountability/Title IX Coordinator and the Associate Vice President of Human Resources and Payroll/Deputy Title IX Coordinator
