Minimum Qualifications

Requirements:

Minimum of three years of professional cyber-security or related work experience preferred.  CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ (or similar) industry credentials required. Associates degree in Information Technology, or related field, preferred.  Prior teaching experience preferred.

Applicants are expected to help students develop the skills necessary to successfully pass the (1) CompTIA Network+ and (2) CompTIA Security+ industry credentialing exams. Applicants should also possess strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and the ability to adapt to various learning styles.

Position Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

The hybrid class will meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Richmond Community College Leon Levine School of Business and Information Technology located at the Kenneth and Claudia Robinette Building in downtown Rockingham, NC.  The successful applicant will be expected to:

  1. Teach students effectively to meet student learning outcomes.
  2. Hold class sessions as scheduled to meet student learning outcomes.
  3. Provide clearly organized and understandable instruction.
  4. Provide adequate and timely feedback and evaluation of assignments.
  5. Maintain a positive attitude in interactions with students and shows a genuine concern for student learning.
