· Proficiency with Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word, Adobe Pro, and databases
· Ability to work at a computer and maintain focus for sustained periods

· Ability to understand complex systems and workflows
Preferred Qualifications
· One year of full-time or equivalent experience with administrative, bookkeeping/accounting, assessment, or quality control tasks
· Experience in an administrative support within an educational organization

Position Description
Job Description
The Data and Assessment Specialist is a full-time, 12-month position located primarily on the OCH Campus in Monroe, NC. Under the direction of the College and Career Readiness (CCR) Program Performance & Accountability Director, the Data and Assessment Specialist supports CCR staff by reviewing course-level and student-level data to ensure accuracy and timely reporting in the department’s data management system. The Data and Assessment Specialist also administers pre- and post-testing to students and assists with quality review of section census dates, student registrations, and attendance data necessary to ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.
Job Duties
· Reviews course-level and student-level data for accuracy, including registration dates, census dates, attendance, etc., for all Adult Basic Skills (ABS) programs.
· Under direction of program staff, verifies data accuracy across multiple systems (Colleague, ADVANSYS, SharePoint, paper files, etc.). Identifies discrepancies and potential audit exceptions. Works with program staff to correct errors.
· Assists with end-of-course paperwork and processing.
· Assists with the organization and long-term retention of program course files and student records and transcripts.
· Maintains the integrity and security of all CCR testing materials and records.
· Assists with pre- and post-testing ABS students and entry of scores and reports into ADVANSYS and departmental spreadsheets.
· Participates in local, state, and national professional development opportunities, as appropriate.
· Actively participates in College committees and activities, including (but not limited to), Planning Councils, Advisory Boards, other College committees, College activities and events, and College-related community activities and events.
· Demonstrates a high-level of professionalism, innovation, collaboration, and institutional commitment in all actions.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the CCR Program Performance & Accountability Director and the Dean of the School of College and Career Readiness.
