Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of institutional effectiveness planning and outcome/assessment monitoring.
Excellent human relations, interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office products including MS Word and Excel
Effective collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving, and team-building skills
Demonstrated abilities and experiences working with a diverse population
Requirements:
Master's degree or master's degree plus 18 hours in one of the division's disciplines.
Five years of full-time post-secondary teaching experience in one of the division's disciplines.
Five years of demonstrated administrative and managerial experience at a post-secondary institution.
Appropriate industry certifications or related industry experience may substitute for some of the above teaching and managerial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior leadership and/or supervision at a community college.
Community college teaching experience.
Position Description
This position provides leadership and direction for division faculty and staff.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions):

* Provides leadership and direction for division department heads, faculty and staff
*Provides oversight and ensures quality control for the Associate in Applied Science degree, diploma and certificate programs within the Information Technology division
*Informs the Provost of Information Technology Programs and other members of the College's leadership team about the operation of the division and apprised of challenges and opportunities
*Develops a division-wide institutional effectiveness plan
*Develops assessment plans for core competencies and student learning outcomes
*Ensures compliance with college, state, and accreditation standards
* Manages budget allotments and requisition of future funds
*Supervises and evaluates department heads, faculty and division staff
Collaborates with college deans to insure quality course and program accessibility to diverse audiences at various locations and through a variety of modalities
Assists in the recruitment, selection and orientation of new faculty, staff, and department administrators
Assures internal and external collaboration and communication with students, other college areas, systems office, business and industry, community groups, individuals and other external agencies that support the mission, goals, polices, and procedures of the College and the Division
Facilitates department head, faculty, and staff in-service trainings and professional development
Responsible for transfer course evaluations applicable to division programs of study
Develops quality pathways and student retention plans
Facilitates bilateral articulation agreements for AAS students
Collaborates with the public school system to offer courses/programs in compliance with
Career and College Promise legislation and high school articulation agreements
Facilitates the recommendations of faculty and advisory committees to maintain program vitality and relevance
Facilitates course and program offerings to meet community demand
Pursues and participates in the acquisition of grants to supplement resources
Participates in local and national innovative educational initiatives
Gathers, analyzes, organizes, and archives information related to division personnel, programs, services, and resources
Participates in graduation exercises
Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
