Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in Electrical Systems Technology or related degree.
 
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Extensive experience, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years experience in the field. 

Electrical Contractors License.

Teaching experience at the community college or four-year college. 
On-line teaching experience.

Position Description

Coordinate the Electrical Systems Technology Program, including instructional design; delivery systems; student admissions and advising; evaluation of program, students, and faculty. 
 
Develop and maintain industry and community support. 
 
Assist the Dean of Engineering & Applied Technology with the identification and recruitment of potential faculty; participate in the interview selection process; provide initial divisional orientation and training to new full-time and part-time hires. 
 
Provide input to the Dean on divisional budget needs to include part-time salaries, supplies, equipment, travel, and other costs. 

Evaluate existing courses and develop new courses. Revise and update existing courses for relevancy and quality standards consistent with the mission of the College.
 
Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus. 
 
Teach online classes as needed by the Department. 
 
Incorporate the latest instructional technologies in course delivery and utilize interactive learning technologies to engage students in the teaching and learning process. 
 
Recruit students for the program. 
 
Advise students who are in the program. 

Monitor and improve student persistence and completion success rates.
 
Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
