A Master’s degree with eighteen graduate hours in one of the following disciplines is required: Social/Behavioral Sciences, Humanities, or Fine Arts. Two years successful experience in educational leadership; excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated skills in various computer applications, such as Microsoft Office products, spreadsheets, database; demonstrated skills in application of instructional technology are all required.
Two or more years of experience in education leadership, and bilingual are preferred.
Duties include providing leadership in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts Department; prepare and monitor budgets; direct annual planning and evaluation activities; manage academic schedules, faculty workloads, publications, and registrations; monitor and evaluate current curricula and course offerings; actively promote student recruitment and retention initiatives; recruit, supervise and evaluate faculty; serve as academic advisor; teach a minimum of 9-12 contact hours per semester; work with program advisory committees; and work on other projects as assigned by the Division Dean for Arts & Sciences.
