Minimum Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Information Systems Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited institution is required, and at least three years of post-secondary teaching experience is preferred. Applicants must also demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the use of technology.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual is preferred.

Position Description

The department chair provides leadership for the Information Systems Technology Department in all areas,including curricula/program compliance, quality instruction, planning and accountability, budgeting and reporting activities, and student-related activities, such as advisement, registration, marketing, and public relations. The department chair also teaches a minimum of 9-12 contact hours per semester, promotes student recruitment and retention schedules classes to meet departmental needs and requests from other program areas, coordinates assignment of instructors, recruits, supervises, and evaluates faculty, works with program advisory and othercommittees, and performs other duties as assigned.
