Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or a higher degree with certification in MLT from an accredited college or university.
American Society for Clinical Pathology or American Society for Clinical Pathology International – Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC or ASCPi-BOC) generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.
Two years of teaching experience.
Completion of Master’s Degree from an accredited university within one year of hire.
Communication, both oral and written, and computer skills necessary.

Three years of teaching experience
Knowledge of educational methods and administration as well as current National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) accreditation procedures and certification procedures
Position Description
Maintain National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) accreditation of the program.
Teach face-to-face, online, and blended Medical Laboratory Technology courses to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus as needed by the Department.
Incorporate latest instructional technologies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
Plan, organize, and coordinate all aspects of the Medical Laboratory Technology Program.
Coordinate scheduling and staffing for all MLT courses.
Recruit, supervise, mentor, and evaluate program faculty.
Provide input to the Dean of Allied Health on departmental budget needs to include supplies, equipment, travel, and other costs.
Develop, review, and recommend new or modified course outlines, supplies, materials, and textbooks; maintain currency of instructional techniques and methods; ensure courses are ADA compliant.
Participate in student recruitment efforts and advisement for increased enrollment and retention.
Monitor and improve student retention.
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
Comply with instructional responsibilities, as explained in the job description for the instructional faculty.
Develop and maintain community relationships that support the mission of the school and the Medical Laboratory Technology Program.
Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
