Position Description
Prepare and teach collision repair courses designed for career technical programs. Must be able to instruct a wide variety of topics within the curriculum in laboratory and classroom environments. Provide classroom and lab instruction for various subjects in the Collision Repair industry; in conjunction with the Division Chair for Industrial and Applied Technology, evaluate and improve program quality; stay abreast of regulations applicable to Collision and Repair work such as OSHA and ASE; advise students, and complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Required by the start date: College diploma coupled with appropriate experience or a high school diploma coupled with outstanding professional experience in the collision repair industry; ASE certifications in Painting & Refinishing, Structural Damage, and Non-Structural Damage; and 3 years of relevant industry experience as a Collision Repair Technician. Preferred: I-CAR certifications, post-secondary teaching experience and/or industry training experience, experience with assessment of student learning outcomes, and experience with a learning management system, e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, etc.
Salary: Based on education and experience.
Start Date: August 3, 2020.
