Minimum Qualifications

 

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analytics or data development;
• Willingness to keep up-to-date technically and learn new technologies;
• Ability to apply new knowledge effectively and appropriately to work processes;
• Experience maintaining and/or updating business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods;
• Ability to use systems and data analytically;
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently and make decisions;
• Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines;
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Highly technical experience with state-of-the-art constituent relationship management (CRM) solutions such as Salesforce or Raiser’s Edge;

• Expertise with NetSuite software;
• Experience with non-profit organizations and fundraising, preferably within education

Organization Overview:
The South Piedmont Community College Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization established to receive tax-exempt contributions to support the mission of the college and the needs of its students. With new and exciting initiatives being pursued by the college, the Foundation is facing exciting opportunities and seeks to fill a new position that will be an essential member of the Foundation team that will help shape the future of SPCC!

Position Overview:
The Development Data Manager is a part-time position (up to 27.5 hours per week) located primarily on the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe, NC. Under the direction of the Foundation Director, the Development Data Manager will play an integral role in moving the SPCC Foundation forward by supporting and managing the data and reporting needs of the Foundation through NetSuite, Donor Search, and other means. This position will also manage prospect pipelines and reporting, and oversee a coordinated prospect research effort.

Job Duties

• Play a lead role in the strategic creation, management, and day-to-day operations of donor and prospect database (NetSuite);
• Serve as the department point person for queries, reports, actions, list management for mailings and major events, and import and export of data;
• Design, test, deploy, run and analyze reports for the Foundation, the Board of Directors, and other departments as needed;
• Develop and manage fundraising performance reports from donor database and other sources;
• Manage prospect pipelines, lists and reporting for the Foundation Director;
• Responsible for prospect tracking and tracking of expectancies;
• Oversee implementation of NetSuite CRM database and data import, and participate in evaluations of future data needs and systems;
• Coordinate updates with Institutional Effectiveness and communicates with staff regarding those updates;
• Lead efforts to uphold data integrity and consistency;
• Manage a coordinated prospect research effort, including organizing and tracking requests, conducting primary research, and disseminating and documenting research results;
• Create, update, and maintain informational materials for NetSuite;
• Conduct NetSuite training sessions for new employees as well as ongoing updates for the department;
• Produce fast, flexible reports, which are integrated with college systems and applications;
• Collaborate with users to define concepts and detail reporting requirements;
• Perform ad hoc analysis and report development in response to requests from end users;
• Create and maintain report process documentation;
• Manage and perform special projects/assignments;
• Monitor projects and requests, communicate status information, including resolutions, estimate completion dates, issues, etc. to supervisor and teams as appropriate;
• Serve as a data expert for the department and communicates valuable information regularly to the team;
