Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education, counseling, or a related field is required; master's degree preferred
  • Five years of experience in recruiting, counseling, and retention preferred
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills necessary

Position Description

The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management is responsible for the administration and management of the admissions process, procedures, communications, reports, and records for all curriculum programs.

The duties of the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management include, but are not limited to:

  • Hire, train, and supervise personnel within the Office of Admissions
  • Implement communications with all applicants throughout the admissions process
  • Oversee entering of student data in the Datatel system and the management of applicant records up to the point of enrollment
  • Assign advisors and coordinate balancing advisee loads for advisors
  • Initiate innovative and strategic methods to increase enrollment numbers
  • Work with public schools to admit and register eligible high school students
  • Manage the BLET admissions process to assure guidelines are followed and students are properly documented
  • Evaluate all Health Sciences application packets; rank all applicants by points after verification of points; coordinate notification to students of acceptance, alternate status, or denied status; and make replacements for declined positions
  • Serve as the College's Primary Designated Official for issuing I-20's to international students and keep all documentation updated in the SEVIS system
  • Serve as the residency liaison for in-state tuition decisions using the NC Residency Guidelines
  • Coordinate an orientation and advising program for new students in fall and spring
  • Respond to potential students' inquiries by telephone, email, and in person
  • Make decisions regarding validity of high school transcripts
  • Serve as the administrator for the CFNC control center where all online applications originate
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of Student Services

  • Nights and/or weekend hours as assigned
