Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree fom a regionally accredited college or univeristy

Proficient computer skills required in Wor, PowerPoint and Excel

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Three (3) years of progrssional, fulltime experience in marketing, corporate training or administering Continuing Education programs

Valid NC driver's license with driving record that is within the parameters set by the college

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business Management, Marketing or other closely related field

Master's Degree in Adult Education, Education Administration, Business Administration or other closely related field

Knowledge of CRC and acquired silver level CRC

Position Description

Administer all aspects of the Customized Training (CTP) including developing, delivering and coordinating site-specific training to businesses and industries in New Hanover and Pender counties. Promote program to CFCC faculty/staff, the public, and business and industry leaders and develop a strong portfolio of business partners. Coordinate assigned activities with other college departments, divisions and outside agencies and provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Dean of Continuing Education.

Recruit, interview, evaluate, and hire continuing education instructors; develop and draft instructor contracts; prepare necessary materials for instructors

• Prepare brochures and advertising materials; schedule facilities and equipment as needed
• Meet with community, corporate and industry leaders to identify needs related to Customized Training
• Assess industry training requirements, budget and scheduling constraints to design appropriate and effective training programs for Customized Training
• Collect and submit registration forms, fees, class rosters, pay and attendance sheets and other documentation as required; prepare reports regarding data collected
• Follow-up with clients in terms of customer satisfaction and additional training needs.
• Prepare reports and schedules necessary to execute and complete programs
• Work with the Human Resource Development (HRD) program to maintain the Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) as an integral part of courses and programs. Find innovative ways to include the CRC in additional areas
• Follow through and carry out required rules and regulations as set by CFCC, the North Carolina Community College System office, the Department of Labor, NC Works and the Department of Commerce
• Prepare clear and concise reports; interpret and apply federal, state and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations as required
• Maintain mental capacity, which allows the capability to: make sound decisions, demonstrate intellectual capabilities; respond to questions, evaluate the effectiveness of programs and people
• Develop and maintain a working and professional relationship with area employers, students, partnering agencies, college staff and the general public
• Type or word process a variety of regular and confidential documents including general correspondence, agendas, reports, class schedules, forms, certificates, contracts, and memos; prepare copies of documents; distribute information. Perform data entry functions for course sections
• Schedule classrooms to insure classroom availability for CRC related courses and labs, as well as CTP trainings
• Assist with identifying opportunities for improving service delivery, guidelines and procedures
• Maintain files for compliance with State and Federal guidelines and auditing regulations
