A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in building construction, engineering, architecture, business administration or a related field or equivalent. Four years of general facility maintenance experience with at least three years administrative and supervisory experience. Extensive experience directly related to the position duties, well documented in the application packet, may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.

The Director of Facility Services provides leadership and oversight in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day operations, facilitating the maintenance and repair of physical assets in a safe, timely, cost efficient, and service-oriented manner. The Director prepares bid specifications and administers both large and small construction contracts. The Director monitors performance of maintenance and repair projects, energy management and utility operations, housekeeping, building and special services, grounds maintenance, and mail room operations. The Director effectively manages human, physical, and financial resources to accomplish department goals and objectives in support of the College mission. The Director provides administrative support to the Vice President for Administrative Services and coordinates activities with internal and external organizations/agencies.
