Requires Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field from a regionally accredited institution, or a combination of education and experience that would show demonstrated success in a human resources role(s). Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have ability to use and learn different types of computer software, preferably Ellucian HR application, knowledge of employment legislation and regulations; excellent communication skills, high level of attention to detail, ability to work independently and to prioritize multiple assignments in fast-paced environment.
The preferred candidate will have North Carolina Community College System experience (or other higher education experience), recognized HR certifications (SHRM-S/CP, a/S/PHR, IMPA-HR).
The position serves as the college business partner concerning human resource functions; facilitates the orientation and onboarding process, serves as liaison for benefits partners, performs data entry for all HR actions, works with supervisors concerning employment and management relations issues, provides recommendations for HR actions as required.
