Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.

Five years of related work experience.

Degrees and hours must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Ability to use technology including applicant tracking software.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
North Carolina Community College System experience.
Degrees and hours must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Professional certification such as PHR or SPHR

Position Description

Plan and direct all human resources functions to include, recruitment and staffing employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance,
 Oversee electronic application and recruitment process.
 Investigate allegations of harassment and make recommendations for resolution.
 Provide guidance to supervisors on employee related issues and discipline.
 Support and monitor the Employee Performance Improvement plan process.
 Manage employee grievance process in accordance with policy.
 Oversee annual contract development and distribution.
 Oversee annual performance evaluation process.
 Respond to internal and external inquiries related to Human Resources.
 Oversee the preparation of various reports and surveys such as the Staff Information Report, IPEDS, and Department of Labor surveys.
 Provide direct supervision and evaluation of staff in Human Resources.
 Plan and administer the departmental budget.
 Assist with conducting employee training sessions on Human Resources related topics such as Sexual Harassment, FMLA, and Performance Evaluations.
 Serve on institutional committees as assigned.
 Perform other duties as assigned.
 Service as Title IX Coordinator for staff and faculty employees
