Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Sport Management, Health and Physical Education, or Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in a closely related field.
Three to five years experience in athletic administration.
Knowledge and understanding of NJCAA rules & regulations.
Communication, both oral and written, skills necessary.
Must have expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking qualified applicants for this critical and full-time position. The Director of Athletics at Fayetteville Technical Community College is a 12 month position.
Duties
The Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at FTCC will provide overall leadership, administrative direction and oversight for all aspects of a Division II intercollegiate athletics department.
Department oversight includes supervision and management of all departmental programs and services, athletic facilities and department personnel;
Compliance with National Junior College Athletic Association, College, and departmental policies;
Administration and management of departmental funds, budgets and accounts;
Recruitment and mentorship of highly qualified coaches and support personnel;
Recruitment and the provision of support services for academically and athletically talented students;
Management and oversight for all athletic department operations;
Cultivation of strong collaborative and working relationships with College constituents and counterparts, college affiliated entities, Division II and conference participants and members of the broader surrounding community;
Involvement in all aspects of promotion, marketing and fundraising activities for the department;
Coordinate travel of intercollegiate team; use of campus vehicles including availability of drivers.
Oversight for athletic scholarship programs and their administration; enhancing student athletes’ scholastic achievements;
Supporting the fundamentals of ethical behavior; promoting diversity and equity amongst the athletes, sports and coaches; and cultivation of a culture of athletic success, sportsmanship, professionalism and respect at all levels of the department.
Provide advice, counseling, and intervention when necessary to coaches and student athletes to insure student athlete success and compliance with student code of conduct, academic progress, retention, and NJCAA compliance.
