  • Associate Degree  in Business or related field
  • 3 or more years Community College experience
  • Detailed oriented
  • Understanding of and dedication to the unique nature and role of the institution in the local community
  • Demonstrates ability to show leadership capacity with individuals, groups, and the community with related experience to show the ability to do so
  • Willing to work all hours when necessary to accomplish the goals and aspiration of the institution in relations to the community at large
  • Good communication skills, oral and written, strong computer skills, Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrates the core value of helpfulness, ability to work in a team environment 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Business or related field
  • 4 to 5 years of Community College experience
  • Datatel preferred experience

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:

The Director of Internal Auditing and Records, coordinates and oversees the audit process and policies and procedures of all non-degree programs; workforce continuing education programs, self-supporting programs, and Basic Skills programs to remain in compliance with the Administrative Code and local policies and procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensures accuracy of all paperwork submitted for FTEs in compliance with the Administrative Code and updates released as numbered memorandums from the NCCCS. Provides additional support to the department as assigned by the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development
  • Works collaboratively and closely with all directors and coordinators in the Economic and Workforce Development/Continuing Education Department, IT, and the Business Office to foster opportunities that support continuing education
  • Under the direction of the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, develops new local procedures to streamline and increase the effectiveness of day to day operations
  • Evaluates the best practices of other institutions, to develop ideas for potentially successful workflow processes
  • Provides managerial support to the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development of all directors /coordinators
  • Under the supervision of the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development, the Director of Auditing and Records drives the audit process
  • Assists Directors, as needed, to make sure continuing education procedures are followed and class paperwork is accurate for reporting
  • Keeps abreast of required community colleges procedures to keep CE in compliance
  • Ensures accountability and credibility as outlined in the approved Board of Trustee Accountability and Creditability plan
  • Responsible for accuracy of the following reports – FIP, ICR, Registration Data Report, and all other reports requested by the VP and/or the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development
  • Receives class visitations from Directors/Coordinators and verifies compliance with the Accountability and Integrity plan
  • Compiles a weekly class visitation report and reports any exceptions and/or concerns to the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development for follow-up with program director
  • Conducts training for coordinators/directors and office staff with DATATEL processes and CE procedures
  • Supervises the Customer Service Specialists and Registrar
  • Supervise and manage the scholarship process 
  • Responsible for analyzing data to support data driven decision
  • All other duties assigned by the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development
