Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Library Science or a related field from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible administrative experience in library programs and services is required. Strong working knowledge of various computer software packages and excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with print, media, and electronic resources is required. Experience with Community College Libraries in North Carolina (CCLINC) or other state consortia is preferred. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual are preferred.
Position Description
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President of Academic & Student Services, the Director will supervise the library staff and oversee all aspects of the library. The Director will manage the planning, marketing, and assessment of all library programs and services. The Director will supervise, coordinate, and monitor the services, programs, budgets, and policies of the library. The Director will work closely with the Business Office to ensure accurate and appropriate budgeting. The successful applicant must be able to provide excellent customer service in a courteous and professional manner.
