POSITION
Director, Security and Emergency Management
OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
The Director of Security and Emergency Management is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the College’s security and emergency management functions. This position oversees the development and implementation of the emergency management plan and provides a system of training and drills for students and employees. This position has direct oversight for the safety and security of all individuals at the College. This position also serves as the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
- Ten years of proven experience in law enforcement, the military, emergency management, first responder or closely related field
- Five years of experience in supervisory roles
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice or closely related field from a regionally accredited college or university
SALARY/BENEFITS
- Hiring range is $60,000 to $68,000
- Benefits include paid holidays, annual and sick leave, medical insurance, and participation in the N.C. State Retirement System.
