Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in business or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Under the supervision of the Director of the Bayboro Center, this individual will be responsible for the total operation of the Small Business Center. Responsibilities include assisting Pamlico County citizens to begin new businesses and help existing small businesses thrive; identifying small business needs and then helping meet their needs; coordinating and implementing seminars and continuing education classes; evaluating SBC activities; providing one-on-one assistance to small businesses; providing quality counseling; networking with business leaders, volunteers, advisory groups, and local, state, and federal agencies; and aggressively marketing the Small Business Center so the county citizens know of the services. The successful applicant will oversee the operational budget, submit accurate reports, and assist in other projects and duties as required within the Division of Instructional Services.
Day and evening work required.
