9. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and requirements related to Disability Services, Counseling and the Community College System.

12. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of individuals served.

Essential Functions
Job Duties

1. Coordinates front desk coverage for the Office of Counseling and Student Life.
2. Create a welcoming and positive relationship for learners and ensure the exchange is an efficient interaction, provides accurate and up-to-date information, and creates a satisfying experience.
3. Data entry for disability services, emergency assistance fund, and single parent program.
4. Train and supervise work study students in Counseling and Student Life.
5. Schedule and administer exam for students receiving disability accommodations for testing.
6. Schedule appointments and meetings for staff in office of Counseling and Student Life.
7. Collect funds for activities coordinated through Student Activities.
8. Ability to provide and/or coordinate accommodations including but not limited to scribe, note taking, read aloud as needed for students with these disability accommodations.
9. Assist with loans of recorders, scribe pens and other assistive technology provided by Disability Services as needed for accommodations.
10. Scanning, filing, and other clerical needs to maintain accurate and confidential documentation of student receiving services in counseling and disability services.
11. Inform supervisor of any changes regarding schedule and/or work study availability.
12. Collect and maintain information regarding availability and efficiency of counseling and disability services process and services provided.
13. Create end-of-term reports based on information and data collected to assist Coordinators in evaluating services and quality improvement opportunities.
14. Liaise with students receiving and/or inquiring about services in the area of Counseling and Student Life. 
15. Participate in professional development opportunities as needed to stay abreast of current trends of counseling, disability services, and the community college system.
