Comfortable with technology and able to learn the learning management system (Moodle), Gmail, Microsoft 365 and other systems as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The DL Coordinator works effectively with the DL Director to provide technical support to individuals utilizing distance learning technologies such as Moodle and email. Such individuals include current and prospective students, faculty, and staff of the College. The coordinator will assist with various projects in support of Roanoke-Chowan’s distance learning strategies:
- Provide excellent customer service (help students and others log into Moodle and Gmail, troubleshoot basic issues) in person or via phone, videoconferencing platform, or email.
- Serve as the backup Moodle and Waves Gmail administrator
- Research new Moodle features and other DL technologies that could assist students and faculty
- Assist with Moodle front page information and updates
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of courses on Moodle sites including importing course content, uploading users, and creating course backups
- Assist with maintenance of the Gmail Waves domain, upload users
- Assist with department visibility around campus and community including events
- Assist with instructional design using Quality Matters standards
- Present Moodle tools and features during workshops both in-person and online
- Assist with the facilitation of Information Highway classes as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

SALARY:
This is a part-time staff position (20 hours/week) at $17.00 per hour.
