Salary/Grade

Salary Range is $45,137.00 to $63,209.00. The salary will be determined in accordance with RCC’s Salary Plan and applicant’s education and work experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a Master's degree in Education with 18 graduate credit hours in Early Childhood Education or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education. Two years of experience in early childhood classroom teaching or experience in training early childhood educators in relevant topics through teacher training programs, professional development workshops, or other continuing education seminars.

Position Description

  • Provide a quality learning experience for all Robeson Community College students.
  • Plan, organize, promote, and teach appropriate courses for Robeson Community College.
  • Perform all instruction-related duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies and procedures of the College, the North Carolina Community College System, and with appropriate accrediting bodies where applicable.
  • Provide placement, advising, follow-up support services and other duties as assigned.
  • Participate in the evaluation and acquisition of instructional materials, audiovisual aids, support, and equipment needs.
  • Participate in the revision process as needed for course(s) or curricula in field or related areas.
  • Participate in professional organizations, attend conferences and workshops as appropriate.
  • Participate in student recruitment, retention, and marketing activities.
  • Serve on a variety of campus committees and participate in campus activities.
  • Establish industry contacts and plan for guest speakers, field trips, etc.
  • Maintain office hours virtually and on campus as part of the weekly workload.
  • Participate in registration, pre-registration, and new student orientations.
  • Review and recommend texts for use in program courses, within established guidelines. 
  • Maintain data for College’s Student Learning Outcomes’ and Accreditation.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
