  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education, Parks Management, or Sustainable Tourism

Position Description

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Under the general supervision of the Program Director, the applicant must demonstrate mastery of current Ecotourism and Sustainability Practices and Tools. The candidate will also provide up-to-date information to students regarding Nature and historical interpretation, and hands-on experience in the field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures that all necessary documents are kept current and delivered in a timely manner
  • Ensures that accurate and current materials are being used in the classroom
  • Prepares and updates materials/outlines for adult learning styles
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
  • Confidentiality is extremely imperative. Brunswick Community College follows FERPA guidelines

  • Natural Resource Policy and Administration Forests
  • Conservation and People
  • Historical interpretation

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years of direct experience in nature or historical interpretation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education, Parks Management, or Sustainable Tourism

 

PREFERRED:

  • Teaching and Ecotourism experience
