A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or a related field and one (1) year of full-time experience in case management OR one (1) of full-time experience recruiting for educational programs.

Position Description
Provides educational assessments to referred E&T clients. Identifies educational pathways for E&T clients based on assessment and client goals to include options in adult literacy, occupational training, and employability skills training. Coordinates with College departments including Admissions, Financial Aid, Workforce Development and Continuing Education, and College & Career Readiness to meet participant needs. Provides DSS county staff with informational material on community college educational opportunities, schedules and contact information. Collaborates with DSS county staff on tracking E&T clients through educational plans to include entry, progression, completion and outcomes. Completes required reports for DHHS – DSS and the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS) as needed. Maintains confidential files. Serves on institutional committees as appointed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of: Computer systems and related software programs, including spreadsheet, database, and word processing; College policies and procedures for admission and placement; Knowledge-base of workforce and educational assessment tools; Educational and occupational counseling methods and practices; North Carolina community college academic program areas; and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Ability to: Communicate effectively (written and oral) in a variety of settings with people from diverse backgrounds, educational levels, and age groups; Operate a PC, mobile devices, and related software including Microsoft Office and relevant applications or internet-based platforms; Develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty/staff, and the general public; Independently perform complex tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects; Apply organizational and analytical skills with specific attention to detail; Generate documents and reports utilizing specific computer applications; Maintain integrity, honesty, and the ability to maintain confidentiality; Work flexible hours including some evening and weekend hours consistent with student need, and meeting/conference requirements.
