Position Description
GENERAL FUNCTION
Under limited supervision, performs administrative, record keeping, educational, in instructing students in the classroom setting. Work involves preparing and delivering lectures, maintaining appropriate accreditations for all programs; maintaining records of student attendance as required by the Community College System. Maintain documents as needed for enrollment of students. Prepare and submit necessary documentation for continued accreditation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides EMS initial certification instruction and continuing education courses
- Reviews all completed clinical and field internship student evaluations and determines when the student has demonstrated competency on each skill
- Must show working knowledge of NCOEMS program requirements and successful skills completion
- Will assists the program Coordinator with ensuring that all required materials , equipment and supplies are available for students
- Promote the EMS Program and College in a professional and positive manner
- Assist with the organization and inventory of the EMS supply room and EMS equipment
- Use a variety of modern instructional methods to achieve student learning according to expected outcome
- Evaluate student performance in a timely manner to adhere to the course objectives
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma with 3 years EMS experience
- Experience Teaching Adults
- Valid NC driver license
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, faculty, subordinates, students, and the public in the performance of the job
