Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline with three years of college level teaching experience and/or industry experience in an electrical/industrial engineering field. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and online/hybrid instruction. Ability to teach courses associated with all aspects of electromechanical systems. Coursework includes topics such as AC/DC and circuit analysis, Digital electronics, PLC, microcontrollers, mechanical components, electromechanical systems, robotics and automation systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, Process control & Instrumentation, and manufacturing quality control.  

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or closely related engineering discipline and five years of college level teaching experience and /or training in Electrical Power Generation.

Position Description

The Engineering instructor, under the authority and direction of the Vice President for Instruction/Chief Academic Officer and in cooperation with the Department Chairperson/Program Coordinator and Dean, is responsible for instructing in the college’s Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial Engineering training programs. Instructors will use current lab equipment, relevant laboratory exercises, and classroom lectures to develop the student’s knowledge and skills.
