Minimum Qualifications

- Basic electrical knowledge (Ohm's Law, Series/parallel connections, AC/DC circuits, etc)
- Ability to read and create schematics
- Ability to wire various components based on provided documentation
- Good reading comprehension and word processing skills
- Good communication skills

Position Description

The Engineering Technology Lab Technician/Assistant will be responsible for helping to maintain the usability and completeness of the Engineering Technology labs. The ET Lab Tech will be responsible for coordinating between the Engineering Technology Program Chairs to review current lab lessons, materials, equipment, and supplies for accuracy, completeness, and ability to be completed. The ET Lab Tech will also help with the planning and development of future lab activities. The ET Lab Tech may also be required to help restock, clean, and maintain lab facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Help clean, organize, and upgrade lab rooms and stations
- Proof and troubleshoot existing and planned lab assignments/projects
- Help design future lab assignments and projects to expand the capabilities of current course offerings
- Help maintain lab supplies and equipment

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust to focus.
