Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications and requirements:
· Minimum of one to two years of supervisory or project management experience
· Adult education management and or teaching English language experience
· Multilingual or Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly desired
· Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred TESOL certification is a plus but not required
· Flexibility and willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed on a flex schedule to offer classes, recruit, and participate in events.
Experience desired:
· Work experience in an educational, culturally diverse, and or college setting
· Managing, coaching, and providing feedback to staff/instructors/interns
· Teaching and or managing face to face, hybrid, and online classes
· Evaluating and/or developing curriculum and implementing NC Content Standards and English Proficiency Standards
· Serving a diverse population and ensuring the program is inclusive and provides equitable opportunities for historically marginalized populations
· Counseling students with barriers
· Understanding of assessments used
· Managing grants and budgets
· Complying and enforcing state mandates and policies
· Use Google Suite and various meeting and learning management systems such as Zoom, Teams, etc.

Position Description
This position coordinates English Language Acquisition, citizenship, and integrated training classes year-round. Classes offered also include digital and career preparation skills. This position will interview, hire, train, and manage instructors. Will provide instructional leadership and provide resources and support services that address student barriers. Build strong working relationships internally and externally with community and business partners. Participate in recruiting and community events. Assist with grant writing and promotion of program areas. Strong teamwork skills. Serve on committees, engage in special projects, and other duties assigned by the college.
