The College and Career Readiness (CCR) program is accepting applications for instructors to teach skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening for adult learners seeking to improve their English language proficiency. Applicant must have availability for daytime hours and must be willing to teach at an off-campus classroom site. Specific responsibilities include planning, organizing, and developing lessons and units of instruction to help students improve functional and academic proficiency; providing ELA instruction for students in the CCR program; monitoring student growth throughout each instructional session; keeping necessary class records to document student attendance and progress. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institutional is required; a degree in education or a related field is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience and/or TESOL certification are highly preferred.
Salary: Based on education and experience. 5-15 hours per week, depending on class schedule.
Start Date: January 7, 2020.
