Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Position Description

Perform a variety of technical and administrative support tasks in the maintenance and management of the financial aid process and for providing technical assistance and information to students, staff, and the public.

  1. Counsel students with the financial aid application process and advise students regarding available programs and services.
  2. Assist students with basic admissions functions.
  3. Assist in the financial aid satisfactory academic progress policy evaluation and preparation of student notifications each semester.
  4. Coordinate record retention. 
  5. Process student financial aid information requests.
  6.  Assist students in applying for financial aid and answering general financial aid inquiries via telephone, mail, email, and in person.
  7.  Create and maintain all forms and/or documents.
  8. Track phone calls and questions to determine the most frequently asked questions and issues that arise to improve customer service.
  9. Assist with the verification process which includes helping students and parents resolve outstanding issues and obtaining required information and documentation.
  10. Assist in maintaining the financial aid pages of the website.
  11.  Assist with graduation and other College-related duties.
  12. Participate in professional and staff development opportunities. 
  13.  Actively participate in Student Affairs planning, evaluation, and program review.
  14.  Treat students and colleagues respectfully, speak to others courteously, and behave in such a way that creates a workplace environment that is marked by trustworthiness, honest but polite communication, and interpersonal interaction that are both personally cordial and professionally appropriate.
  15. Serve on committees as required.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned and other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
