Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for identifying common safety and health hazards and establishing guidelines for protecting students and college personnel against such hazards.  The Coordinator will maintain safety records, perform safety checks/inspections, develop and administer the College hazardous communication program, the occupational health, safety and hygiene programs, as well as, develop and coordinate health and safety education and training programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Three years of experience working in environmental health and safety or closely related field
• Valid NC Driver’s License

SALARY/BENEFITS

• Hiring range is $43,500 - $48,000
• Benefits include paid holidays, annual and sick leave, medical insurance, and participation in the N.C. State Retirement System.
