The Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the NC Community College System Environmental Health and Safety Contract.
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science Technology or related field required.
A minimum of three years verifiable experience at a professional level in an environment and position or positions that are specifically related to environmental, safety and health.
Knowledge and Skills:
Will possess strong personal and professional integrity, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Knowledge of NC Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) standards. Ability to train individuals in safety and environmental health topics. Use of Microsoft Office products Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
The ability to perform all duties associated with the position including, but not limited to lifting, prolonged standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and operating or performing work with associated tools and machines.
