Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree and one year of job-related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
- Knowledge of College and state guidelines, rules, and regulations
- Ability to work and adapt equipment procedures and guidelines
- Knowledge of basic purchasing, accounting and record keeping principles
- Proficiency in standard computer and office software applications, including Ellucian Colleague
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and apply those solutions effectively
- Ability to travel to multiple campuses and other locations maintained by the College
- Excellent oral and written communications
- Excellent customer service skills
Position Description
General Function:
Performs a variety of complex administrative and technical tasks which may include, but are not limited to, responding to inquiries and requests, reviewing documents, resolving discrepancies, gathering information, entering information into the College’s computer system, labeling and tracking of College fixed assets, and supporting the daily operations of the department.
Characteristics Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collects equipment related data, assists in the preparation of the data, reviews it for accuracy, and makes any necessary corrections.
- Enters equipment data and corrections into the College computer system (Colleague).
- Reviews data entered into Colleague and makes any necessary adjustments and corrections.
- Collects and summarizes data for end-users and answers data-related inquires.
- Prepares both internal and external equipment reports.
- Helps to ensure that new, donated, and surplus equipment is properly processed and recorded by assigning new equipment number tags, replacing worn or lost tags, and maintaining records according to all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assists in the annual equipment audit of all College-owned equipment by scanning existing fixed and high-risk assets on all campuses and other locations maintained by the College and documenting their status.
- Assists in the transfer, sale, and disposal of the College’s fixed assets.
- Responds to both internal and external equipment inquiries that may arise regarding any equipment, reporting, policies, or procedures.
- Helps to create and maintain process documentation for Inventory Control.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
