Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Five years' experience working in an educational setting
Valid Driver's license and approval required by the College’s liability insurance carrier
Preferred Qualifications
Preferences:
Demonstrated experience working with program testing and assessment in higher education
Fluency in Spanish

Position Description
This position is responsible for maintaining and operating the Testing and Assessment Center for designated locations.
Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

*Masters and applies the guidelines and procedures for student eligibility of assessment testing established by the North Carolina Community College System
*Hires and evaluates staff and serves as a lead trainer, creating and delivering tutorials, guides, and manuals to improve current practices and test center security
*Plans and coordinates testing administrations for virtual, online and paper exams including the preparation of materials, maintenance of secure storing, and tracking of test scores
*Observes, supervises, and coaches the Specialist I’s to promote success and establishes work schedules
*Monitors and tracks attendance hours and measurable skill gains for English as a Second Language (ESL), Burlington English, and Citizenship students
Submits test scores and sign-in logs to the Program Performance and Accountability Team and collaborates to identify and resolve errors with placement
Collaborates with the Student Success Team to provide initial placement testing during registrations
Creates testing sections, inputs testing time, and grades student attendance in WebAdvisor
Oversees the expansion activities to offsite locations ensuring testing rooms are
reserved and software is installed
Schedules students for initial placement and post-testing for Reading, Writing, and Math
Contacts students through email, phone calls and test messaging to ensure retention
Communicates essential information to Specialists in a timely manner and conduct meetings monthly
Investigates, troubleshoots, and reports technical issues with the center's computers and printers
Completes training and maintain certifications required for test administrators
Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Power point, and Excel
Excellent organizational skills and customer service skills.
Excellent oral, written, and listening skills
Ability to quickly understand testing policies, follow protocols, and work well in a fast-paced office environment
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, faculty, and students, and exhibit a high degree of integrity
Ability to perform detailed tasks accurately, prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines with frequent interruptions
Must be able to handle and resolve difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
