Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration or related field. (attach an unofficial copy of your transcript to your application)
Knowledge and Skills:
At least five (5) years of experience in sales, marketing, and event planning. Superlative communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to make people feel good about having contacted the Foundation and college. Inviting, enthusiastic, always positive and affirming of others. Broad knowledge of private fundraising techniques and IRS regulations. Competency in word processing (Microsoft Word), data management systems, and accounting software (e.g. Quick Books) required. Experience in spreadsheet, donor management software, and some desktop publishing experience preferred. Experience and/or training in accounting and budgeting processes. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective discretion in handling confidential information and sensitive materials. Demonstrates knowledge and good judgment in matters of Foundation policy and procedures. Follows through on completion of tasks.
Licensing Requirement:
Valid North Carolina Driver's License
Working Conditions:
This position entails work indoors and outdoors in all-weather conditions. The position involves paperwork and occasional manual labor preparing for events. The individual working in this position must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Physical Demands:
This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and carry items occasionally in excess of forty (40) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines.

Position Description
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Foundation through Events and Sponsorships by coordinating all event details and sponsorships.
- Support the Foundation through the implementation and coordination of Foundation Fundraising events;
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel sponsorship solicitation strategy including direct mail, email, phone call and in-person meetings;
- Provide a high level of stewardship by thanking sponsors and ensuring all benefits for sponsorship are fulfilled;
- Create a comprehensive marketing strategy for all Foundation events;
- Develop and implement a social media plan and calendar utilizing multiple social media channels to promote Foundation events and build awareness of the mission of the Foundation;
- Create marketing collateral and social media graphics using graphic design software that enhances Foundation branding and awareness for all Foundation events. Marketing collateral includes but is not limited to website, email, direct mail, brochures, applications, posters, and flyers;
- Assists in the creation and implementation of an overall communications plan for the Foundation
- Works with Supervisor and other college departments as necessary to develop overall plan and calendar for all phases of Foundation events;
- Develops database for guests lists, seating charts, and other key event information related to participants;
- Develops and prepares all event copy for programs, signs, banners, apparel and other event-related items;
- Develops and secures all event logistics, event setup, and equipment requirements;
- Utilizes Blackbaud donor software to create event registrations, track touchpoints with sponsors, and maintain the database to ensure all sponsor information is correct
- Works with Supervisor in overseeing Alumni efforts and activities to recruit and engage Alumni through an Alumni Association
- Works closely with Foundation and College special events committees (Board of Directors, Development Committee, Awards Ceremony, Graduation, etc.)
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Special projects as designated by supervisor;
- Participate in professional and local community service organizations;
- Represent CCC Development and CCC at selected professional conferences;
- Other duties as specified by supervisor.
