Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree and two (2) years of experience providing administrative support to an organizational executive; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Position Description

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant, Academic Affairs This position reports to the Associate VP of Academics and the Associate VP of Academic Support. 
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing complex administrative support to an executive in the organization, coordinate daily functions of the office, including facility management, administrative operations, and technical support. Responsibilities include maintaining and coordinating the executive’s calendar, monitoring the work of administrative desk staff, editing website content for department website, preparing and maintaining audit documentation, and coordinating facility use and building space requests.

- Computers and related software applications

- Utilizing modern office equipment
- Maintaining various confidential records
- Preparing meeting minutes and agendas
- Managing complex projects
- Providing customer service
- Preparing correspondence, memos, and/or other related information
- Reviewing, assembling, and organizing data and information
- Using a computer and related software applications
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with subordinates, coworkers, supervisors, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give and receive work direction
