Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)

1. Associate degree;
2. One year of full-time or equivalent work experience in an administrative support position.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Three years of full-time or equivalent experience in an administrative support position related to Instructional Services.
3. Degree in Office Administration, or related business field.
4. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.

Position Description

Job Description Summary

The Executive Assistant for Instructional Services performs administrative support duties for Vice President, Instructional Services (VPIS) office that includes the Associate Vice President, Instructional Services (AVPIS), and the Director, Curriculum Development, Compliance, & Support. The Executive Assistant will work in a fast-paced, yet relaxed, upbeat environment that thrives on hard work and collaboration.

Duties

1. Serves as a member of Academic Affairs, the Vice President’s leadership team, by contributing to discussions and taking minutes.
2. Performs administrative duties including scheduling, arranging travel, submitting payroll, and generating correspondence.
3. Assists VPIS and AVPIS with operational budgets, purchasing, and inventory.
4. Provides support for College’s SACSCOC liaison, especially in preparing SACSCOC Reports, including substantiative change, the Decennial Report, and the 5th Year Interim Report.
5. Provides support and documentation for departmental projects, including Perkins, NCSARA, and Memorandum of
Understanding/Articulation Agreements.
6. Coordinates events for Instructional Services.
7. Provides limited support to AVPIS Departments.
8. Contributes to a safe and secure workplace.
9. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
10. Coordinates development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for Instructional Services.
11. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
12. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
