Position Description

Central Piedmont is in search of an Executive Director, Corporate Engagement (Grant Funded) for the Central Campus. 

This role identifies, cultivates, and stewards relationships and collaborations within the college and externally with businesses, governments, and community agencies in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. In addition, the role provides strategic leadership of a corporate engagement team that works to position the college as a total business resource in the community.

 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a comprehensive corporate engagement strategy and a tactical plan for the college.

2. Develops high-quality and professional partnerships with Charlotte-Mecklenburg community partners.

3. Manages the corporate engagement and applicable grant related budgets. 

4. Supervises Business Workforce Liaisons and Director of Customized Training activities.

5. Implement a business tracking and reporting database to assess corporate engagement activities and market penetration. Maintains a collegewide database of corporate partner information.

6. Collaborates with college departments to develop and execute corporate engagement activities to increase awareness of the college and college resources.

7. Develops and tracks metrics to measure community engagement activities and the effectiveness of those activities.

8. Collaborates across curriculum and non-credit program areas to recommend college resources and training suitable for business and industry needs.

9. Develops and uses post engagement surveys to assess community satisfaction measures and ways to solicit feedback for additional needs.

10. Collaborates on the development, tracks opportunities, and reports on outcomes of community engagement activities.

11. Represents the college in economic development and community engagement activities such as participation in local workforce development board meetings and events.

12. Develops and presents an annual report of corporate engagement activities and community impact.

13. Has in-depth knowledge and remains current on information related to community colleges, workforce, and economic development resources.

14. Represents the college at workforce development training and events.

15. Participates in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

16. Provides excellent internal and external customer service and leads training for customer service of the corporate engagement team.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary for this position is $59,608 - $75,224. Pay grade for this position is N. Initial placement for new employees is customarily at entry level through 25% percentile. Contract type is Administrative. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours, evening and weekend assignments may be required of any position. All positions are subject to budget approval.
