Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.  
  • Experience working in strategic leadership, with leading teams in strategic planning and development.
  • Understanding of market research and data analysis.
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Position Description

The Executive Director of Strategy reports directly to the President, focusing on the ongoing development and implementation of the college’s Strategic Plan. The Executive Director for Strategy translates the plan into concrete strategies, initiatives, and projects with measurable goals and objectives, and designs a project management structure to monitor, evaluate, and report both internal and external audiences.

 

The Executive Director of Strategy will coordinate with the Vice President of Strategy, Administrative Council, Planning Taskforce, Working Groups, Implementation Teams, and Focus Groups as needed.

 
This position is contingent upon available funding. Funding has been secured for at least two years.

Job Duties

  1. Organize the ongoing strategic planning with particular focus on:
    • Facilitation of recurring, semi-annual touchpoints with Planning Taskforce, Working Groups
    • Development of annual progress reports and presentations.
  2. Maintain/support for strategic plan communications, with a particular near-term focus on:
    • Internal communications
    • External communications
    • Support for success metric tracking and reporting.
  3. Maintain/support for strategic plan strategy implementation, with a particular near-term focus on:
    • General facilitation and strategy support for strategy Implementation Teams
    • Analysis and improvement of publicly available tools and information 
  4. Reports regularly on the status of strategic plan work to internal and external audiences. Designs standard and customizable reports to facilitate reporting. 
  5. Assists President with special projects; other duties as assigned.
