Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Industrial Technology, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related field with 18 graduate credit hours in Information Technology or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution
- Ability to design, develop and implement a high quality innovative Cloud Technology program
- Strong computer skills and commitment to the use of technology in instruction
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with others in a team environment
- Familiarity with and appreciation for the mission of a comprehensive community college
- Effectiveness in the following College organizational competencies:

Position Description
Davidson-Davie Community College is excited to offer an Associate in Applied Science degree in Cloud Technology which will require the development of high quality courses and the establishment of relationships with cloud technology partners in our community to foster an atmosphere of student success.
$5,000 Sign-on bonus to be paid out as follows: $2,500 to be paid upon employment in the first month of regularly scheduled payroll and $2,500 upon successful completion of 1-year of service.
Essential Job Functions:
A full-time faculty position at Davidson-Davie Community College is a nine-month position, with the faculty member's primary efforts focused on teaching and learning, academic excellence and student success. In addition, a faculty member is responsible for engaging in professional development and promoting the College mission, vision, and values.
Faculty employed by the College are responsible for the following:
- Actively embracing and promoting the College mission, vision and values
- Fostering student success through:
- Demonstrating the College's Guiding Teaching Principles of effective teaching that:
- facilitate student learning to meet the requirements of a changing global economy;
- are inspirational, providing clear expectations for students regarding learning goals, course policies and assignments;
- encourage students to engage in critical thinking, reflective reasoning, problem-solving, collaboration and application;
- help students understand how course content is relevant to them and their community throughout their lives, preparing students for enhanced career and educational opportunities;
- foster a collegial and dynamic process in which faculty share and learn strategies and approaches focused on improving student learning; and
- infuse a culture of assessment of student learning into the instructional environment to inform improvements in curriculum, pedagogy, resources and student success.
- Teaching at various instructional sites and in multiple delivery formats as needed to meet the scheduling needs of students and programs.
- Maintaining currency in one's teaching discipline and in the issues of higher education.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the College to identify and provide appropriate resources that promote student learning and completion.
- Engaging collaboratively with colleagues by using data-informed decision-making to continually improve courses and programs.
- Integrating appropriate instructional technology and instructional materials to enhance student learning outcomes and promote student success.
